The Australasian Industrial Ecology Conference is the result of collaboration between industry, government agencies, and academia. 

 

The aim of the Australasian Industrial Ecology Conference is to showcase and promote leading examples of initiatives that embody the ultimate Industrial Ecology goal of “zero waste”.

 

The objectives

v    To challenge the paradigm of waste and recognise the value of industrial and commercial by-   products

v    To learn from case studies on the application of proven and successful processes in Australia and Internationally

v    To facilitate sustainable resource re-use opportunities in Industry

v    To encourage the review and reform of regulatory framework to enhance materials and fuel sustainability

v    Provide a platform to encourage networking within industry, academia, government and regulatory bodies

 

Who should attend

v Industries: Oil, Gas, Mining and Mineral Processing, Metals, Chemicals, Building Materials, Power Generators, Construction, Manufacturing, Packaging, Food & Beverage
v Agencies: Australian Greenhouse Office, State and Federal Departments of Planning, State and Federal Departments of Environment, State and Federal Departments of Primary Industry and State and Federal Departments of Sustainability, CSIRO, ANSTO and Universities
