- Garbis Simonian & Michele Rosano: The AIEN believes that any waste levies, charges, fees etc collected by National, state government s/authority's should be reinvested to support increased sustainable waste management activities in each state.
- Dave West for Bridgette Poulton: Provide clear landfill diversion targets (stretched over a 20-year period) with penalities for waste disposal authorities that fail to meet them.
- Mick Raby: Each time the waste levy increases the incidence of unlawful dumping in our LGA increases. Use waste levies to fund clean-up of illegal dumping sites

- Jeff Angel: Ban Gas Bottles; Lead Acid Batteries and Sharps from kerbside waste and recycling and mixed C&I waste collection services. Introduce Product Stewardship Schemes to manage these hazards.
- Catherine Johnson: Ban large batteries from household bins
- Simon Lee: Australia-wide ban of e-waste from household bins and landfills
- Dave West: Introduce a National CD Scheme
- Anne Cherry: Improve the quality of Used Beverage Cans (UBC's) available in Australia for melting
- Catherine Johnson: Consider that CDL should be for glass bottles only
- Catherine Johnson: Introduce recycling of clean plastic bags through drop off bins at supermarkets and also consistent standards for manufacturing plastic bags
- Dean Beckman: Regulate the uncontrolled export of whole used tyres and implement consistent national regulations for waste tyre classification, transport and processing.
